The album is the sum of the unique amalgam of his diverse experiences (most noteably with Finisterre, Maschera Di Cera, Quadraphonic and Höstsonaten, as well as numerous well-received solo albums and projects).
According to Fabio, La Quarta Vittima (2014) is an album of modern Progressive Rock, encompassing elements of symphonic, dark, jazz, hard rock, electronic and psychedelic, presented in a unique musical kaleidoscope.
The album will contain seven songs performed by ZUFFANTI – a group of highly-talented musicians whose experiences run the gammut. The concept for the album was inspired by "The Mirror in the Mirror": a book of gothic and surreal tales, written by Michael Ende.
La Quarta Vittima (2014) will be released on January 15, 2014, by AMS Records.
2014 World Tour: “FABIO ZUFFANTI + BAND – A 20-Year Celebration!”
Also, Fabio Zuffanti is going on tour, he has assembled a new band, poised for a 2014 World Tour in support of his new solo album, and celebrating the twentieth year of his musical career with fresh renditions of his classic work with Höstsonaten, La Maschera Di Cera, Finisterre and more.
The band is formed by Fabio Zuffanti (bass and vocals), Giovanni Pastorino (keyboards and backing vocals), Martin Grice (sax, flute and backing vocals), Matteo Nahum (guitars and backing vocals), Paolo Tixi (drums and backing vocals).
The band is an Italian Prog "supergroup," of sorts: the young Giovanni Pastorino is involved in the reunion of the historic prog band Gleemen (pre-Garybaldy group); Matteo Nahum has been the guitar player with La Maschera Di Cera; Paolo Tixi is the drummer of Il Tempio Delle Clessidre, and the veteran Martin Grice is the sax/flute player with the legendary Italian Prog band of the '70's, Delirium.
More info in the future.
